Technically, I'm not really a saint; in fact, I'm more of a free-thinking heretic and/or apostate. Nonetheless, I shall attempt to impart my thoughts and feelings about the state of humankind in the form of these ePistles to...well, whoever.

NO SWIMMING, THIN ICE

"No Swimming, Thin Ice"
An allegory for those of us in the middle class,
professionals, managerial and small business,
who believe the fairy tale
that our interests are being looked out for:
You can't beat the House.
The House is not on your side.
The House is not invested in you winning,
but invested in winning the whole pot
for itself and the select few
(say a top 1%) the House calls its own.
No swimming - you aren't even in the pool.
Thin ice - we are all on thin ice.
Many of us have already broken through
and are desparately trying not to drown.
Hypothermia is setting in.
